Transcript of John Lafferty Civil War narrative, ca. 1921.

This one item collection is a transcript of a Civil War narrative told by former Confederate soldier, John Lafferty of Harrison County, Kentucky. Lafferty was in Co. A of the 1st Battalion Cavalry Kentucky Volunteers which became Co. K of the 9th Regiment Cavalry Kentucky Volunteers in 1862. He describes army life and battles during the war. Lafferty's son, W. T. Lafferty, also added his and his mother's memories of the Civil War from the homefront.
